Democracy

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

None of their political arguments,
Debated in opposition heated.
Is about democracy at all.
Or how it has been,
Documented into rules and laws.
It is the image and face of it.
That has become,
An embarrassment.
To their delusions embraced.
Revealing to be a United States,
Of America.
More ethnic and diverse.
Leaving many faithfully deluded,
Incapable to accept the truth...
Of facts and evidence produced.
Not to fraud, hoodwinked or dupe.
Or continue to manipulate,
Minds relieved to fiction...
Upon a marketing of escapism!
This has little to do,
With how democracy...
To enjoy and live as is,
Documented.

The conflicts.
Division.
And racist attitudes,
Is all about the 'image.'
And how that image reflects...
An interpretation that represents it,
Best!
