Oh bountiful pouches of pastel grey
Semi-circular baggage of night-times’ debt
Waxed pockets of worry, a saggy display
Punctuating face, parenthesis of fret

No cucumber to soothe thy swollen flesh
Nor tinctures rich fade bruisy smear
Thy satchels brim with labour’s stress
Yet in my heart I hold you dear
