Untitled

In the darkness,
The raven creeps,
She breathes down my neck
And lurks in my dreams.

She steals my mind
And to it she speaks,

“In this life of the meek
There is no sleep,
There is no comfort
When it is fear you seek”

And in this darkness,
My mind weeps,
She tosses and turns,
And tries to cease.

She wrestles the raven,
But she is weak

Against tar black talons,
And unparalleled dread
She becomes desperate,
She loses her head

But in the darkness,
Bound by the raven
in wings of abyss,
She’s able to see

For in the darkness,
Where the raven creeps,
She is fear,
She is death,
And she is me.
