Inside Out

James Hipsher 1940 (Missouri)

If we could see what the mirror sees,
We'd probably fall upon our knees,
And beg forgiveness from near and far,
For being the fools that we are.
When all along we thought we were,
The cat's meow or the kitten's purr.
But never fear there still is time!
We'll scrap the dark from the mirror's behind,
And then we'll see from inside out,
Just what we are all about.
