We are not one

Hallie Williamson 2006 (Dixon IL)

We are not one

I am white
I am black
I got pulled over
I got pulled over
I rolled down my window and said” sorry sir what am I getting pulled over for”
I rolled down my window and said” sorry sir what am I getting pulled over for”
I was speeding
I was speeding
I get a warning
I am getting yelled at to put my hands up and get out the car
I drive away I am free another day
I got shot 4 times, he thought I had something in my hand.
I see my family later that day we have a big dinner
My family is grieving for me while I am in the morgue.
I am white
And I am black
