Choices

If you want to know sorrow,
and you want to feel pain.
        Pick up an addiction,
and throw your life down the drain.
        I speak from experience,
that's no lie.
        i know if i continue,
I'm guaranteed to die.
But yet death is not the road,
i choose to travel.
For i have a beautiful future,
I've yet to unravel.
        Free from addictions,
and full of love.
If I can just follow the teachings,
from the man up above.
Which I know I can do,
by staying true to my heart.
fighting he who would love nothing,
But to tear me apart.
         See your not alone,
in this tremendous fight.
You'll always have Me and the Lord,
to help you set things right.
         So don't be afraid,
to take the first step.
Cause you can trust and believe,
we'll show you what's next.
