Art and me

Thaamarai Selvi SP 2001 (Madurai)

Art helps me, to feel the freedom
in those blank pages of life
for me to be a realist
when I fail to express
so is it power
that makes me surrender to you?
or it's my inability
to think beyond you?
I never knew
and will not know
the answers either.
Yet to be in your folds,
I learned the serenity of fire,
And I being an aesthete
defined Art.
It isn't that easy to comprehend
the roots of art
imbibed by the heart
If so, it's the only essence
which makes one live.
And the one
which is making me, live.
