Lost
Melinda Kafton 1961 (missouri)
I wander these long dark halls
wondering where I am
what is this place I am in
these strangers guide me to this place and that place
I want to scream who are you
I am Alzheimer's
once a vital person
now I struggle to find who I am
These people come to see me
I look at their faces
I think do I know you
I catch flickering embers
of who I used to be
But now i am Alzheimer's
I need guidance to find
the place where i sleep that place i get some meal
that friendly face
that takes my hand
I am Alzheimer's
