Back In Time

When I left your house last night, I heard you call my name.
I looked around, no one in sight, Your love drives me insane.
I must have lost my mind,
I start thinking back in time. . . .
I think about the day we met, Spring flowers in their bloom.
I felt the spark as our eyes met, Across the crowded room.
My heart, it skipped a beat,
You make my life complete.
I think about you every night, Forever in my dreams.
Whenever I'm without you, A part of you remains.
I hope you know it's true,
My love, I live for you.

-I started this poem in 1990, and stalled out. I just wasn’t able to figure out where it needed to go. Then one day in 2010 – inspiration – and I was able to complete the poem.
