The Dream

Let me give you a reason to live
He said,as he touched my belly
I know that lately you’ve been so sad and lonely
So,this is my gift to you

A reason to keep going
A reason to live
A reason to smile again

You asked for a sign
So here, I am
To give you,this gift

I’ve been watching over you and giving you signs
That even though I am no longer here with you,in body
My spirit, has never left you side

So many times,I’ve watched you give up
Almost succeeding in taking you own life
I’m the one that protects you
The one that forces you to fight

But,you were in that dark place again
So I had to step in
I could not let, your illness or sadness win

So I came to you in a dream,as I always do
I came to give you, your sign to live

I know that you no longer have faith
That God is no longer in your heart, since the day I died
That you cursed him,for ending my life

But you’ve always believed I was still here
And you were right
I am now your guardian angel
Watching over you all the time

Here I am, my hand on your belly
Giving you, what you want most
Another reason to live,to not give up,hope

At first, you won’t remember this dream at all
But when you do remember, you will finally know
That you are never alone
And I am always near

I know that you can sometimes feel me
And that you are not scared
I can hear your thoughts
When you say “ I know that you’re there”

Live your life and keep fighting to win
So many people, love you more than you think

This dream,my gift to you
Is me apologizing
I’m so sorry that I left you too soon
