Creative Prison

Elliott Morreau 1997 (Petawawa)

10 And they keep questioning me, (question me)
10 And they keep on askin of me, (ask me)
9 Demandin' on me (demand on me)
9 But I don't know what's in me (in me)
10 God, cuz I don't know what's in me (in me)

8 But It's got a hunger to feed,
6 a passion that bleeds,
10 is it a manifestation of me?
6 Or a monster we'll see,
6 as I lock up the cage,
6 say bye to me! Haha!

6 Just keep dreamin' dreamin'
10 Just keep believin' believin'
6 that one day, things will change.
6 Just keep dreamin' dreamin'
10 Just keep believin' believin'
6 that one day, you'll be sane
(Yeah right, yeah right,)

7 I know you know better now,
12 after all, it's been ten years in creative hell
9 and it's not that you can't keep creatin',
13 it's that no matter what, the monster keeps on eatin'

But I

6 Just keep dreamin' dreamin'
10 Just keep believin' believin'
6 that one day, things will change.
6 Just keep dreamin' dreamin'
10 Just keep believin' believin'
6 that one day, you'll be sane

10 That's the sick joke that no one talks about.
11 that creative beings live in hell.
9 a pendulum of uncertainty,
9 a life imprisonment that guarantees,
10 suffering, depression, anxiety,

12 As I stand at the cage and see my dreams growl for
     more,
12 I can't give you no more! I can't give you no more!
11 I can give you more, yes I can give you more!

6 Just keep dreamin' dreamin' (they told me)
10 Just keep believin' believin' (they told me)
6 that one day, things will change. (they told me)
6 Just keep dreamin' dreamin' (they told me)
10 Just keep believin' believin' (they told me)
6 that one day, you'll be sane (ha ha ha ha)
