That Night

If you woke up one day
And realized that I’m gone,
Don’t cry, don’t grieve
‘Cause when I was alone,
And I felt like dying,
When I was crying my eyes out,
You weren’t the one
That would stay up at night
To make sure that I was alright,
And wonder how people
Could be so brutish,
And overly selfish
