~ Out Of Love ~
A whisper from the sea, I listen intensely
An unusal breeze I felt, and fell to my knees
Lightning splits ths sky, not true to myself, I lie
And just for a moment it's daylight, I sigh
I desire my strength from the sun, I grow weak
My breath from the wind, I suffocate
Why do I stand alone in the storm?
I come undone, and forlorn
While my home is safe, and warm
Nothing to be heard except my whispered words
Which will never be heard by my own ear, absurd
My heart wishes to be free again, not be chained
My thoughts not blurred, no more tears
No more self pity, had enough this year
Carried along the currents, is my voice
Screaming to me, to make my choice
My eyelids are falling I'm tired of pain
I'm going home, he's out in the cold
I'm still young, and not about to lose my soul
I've fallen out of love, I chose not to be chained
