Your presence

Before the moon and the stars,
you were here.
Before the sun, before the trees.
The birds sang songs to you
when nobody listened.
And from my mother's womb, you knew me;
your eyes saw my embryo and I was in peace.
Then, I woke up from that wonderful dream
and I searched for you
and that amazing peace I had felt before.
Life is different out here, you know;
I miss that presence, that feeling .
But when I look around me
I see it again, I can feel it.
You're still here, in me.
surrounding me with your love.
I see you everyday when I look into the sky...
then I realize ...
you'd never left.
