Wisdom of the madman
Who is the Madman?
I am unattended
I have no friend
I am left alone
The last of the fool's paradise
That's why I am the hated and called odious names
The madman of the midnight street
Walking alone
In the daylight jungles
With rags and testered mug
As my royal garments
I had no water, not that I am not thirsty
The gutters are always running for me
And 'am the wonderful man that eats from the ant-hills
I had the stone beads and the broken fences
As my bed and pillows
People laugh and jest at me
Making me to feel so important
Even everybody wondered
This is my wisdom, that you are a great man
If divine grace still makes it possible that you are still alive
People may have lost hopes
But my hopes are brighter every day
Every passing day
Every passing week
Every passing month
Year in,
year out,
running through the winds of time
I am the man, the man that stands between two worlds
I have the joy that there is wisdom so great
That when I pass-on nobody weeps at my grave-yard
In the madman's world
Unlike the world of men
A world of crippling anxiety an deceit
A world of the sudden death and unhappy ends
where they only weep but never mourn their beloved
I am awake in the night
I sleep in the day and die to their anxiety and grief
A frelane rover of the night's darkness
Always passing through the evil corridors of the night monsters
Into a serence world of peace
With myself and with my destiny
you will remember this my wisdom
On the day you have a madman's problem
That I am satisfied with my life.
