Why I Write

If writing keeps my sanity
While all these voices talk to me
And gives me the ability
To recognize reality
And rids me of my misery
Controls all my insanity
And fills me with curiosity
About who I AM and who I am SUPPOSED to be
And lets me have a multiple personality
Without earning the label of crazy
Would you even ask why I write daily

For with writing its limitless not just one possibility
Its how we've passed on all knowledge throughtout human history
And if you dont get that then if I were you I would worry
That your losing your mind for you'd rather do something thats obviously
Nothing but boredom and bullshit when you could be fulfilling a fantasy
That may only last a minute or two but atleast it'll give you a memory
Something to look back upon years from now - your own creativity
For writing is that powerful - for every individual - whether your poor or your wealthy
No matter your age gender belief or ethnicity
Writing is meant for the world and that includes EVERYBODY
And if you dont yet get it in its entirety
Thats FINE because NOONE understands its complexity
And for century after century
Writing will ALWAYS remain a mystery

I just know that writing is part of my destiny
And if given the opportunity
Id live life free as can be
Giving up all wealths and vanity
To enjoy the open scenery
While writing for eternity
For writing keeps me totally
Uncontrollably
And undeniably
Me
