Where Golden Eagles Fly

Many times I've tried to retrace my steps,
to the place where I flew with the golden
eagles.
It is so clear in my mind,
I have been there many a time.
But! today I look at the high mountain
ridges and wonder which one it was?
Where I lay in the shadow
and looked eye to eye and rode the wind
wave with those eagles.
I was with them when they played, riding the
wind at the edge of the cliff.
I soared! I dove! I practiced aerobatics
that no airplane could ever do!
But! Most of all I could see into their
hearts.
It was easy to see how much fun it was to be
alive and fly together.
I have always been glad that I was there,
that memory is forever.
