Weeds of My Dreams (A Long Walk Down a Long Road)

The sprawling pavement stretches out into the distant horizon, blinding heat prevents any wisdom from soaking in...

Walking the path, with no direction found. Just my own meandering travels down this long, sun-soaked road...

Random weeds sprout and unfurl from the cracks, like intangible dreams that need no water to grow...

My dreams don't need water to grow, they press outward from my soul with incredible lengths to go,
simply nurtured by my thoughts...

Careful not to tread on them, I do not crush my dreams.
May the next person who ambles down this road take special care not to step on the cracks that perforate the path.

Walk dutifully...
Walk slow...

For, the weeds of my dreams still grow.
