Vicious

With a vicious snarl I slide in closer,
casual fear stumbles from open eyes;
as wide as the gulf to be travelled soon.

Flicks of cold desperation tumble from
lips kissed, my sensitive streak
is in full animation while the blade
glides between hollow chambers' rapid beat.

"I love you," is whispered as I pull back
to watch the expression of distaste crawl
along your cheek, towards the wet shock
swirling in colours that fade already.

"I hate you more though." And I spit a smile
to the last moments you will ever know.
Stutters of surprise collect my malice,
I twist and turn to romantic music.

Quietly I blow out scented candles
while the spark of your existence departs.
"Unto death do us part. Goodbye my sweet.”
