Tulum, 
in the morning sun,
 is like a diamond 
shining brighter 
than
any diamond 
that 
your eye's
will ever see -

Only a few 
can say 
that 
they have seen 
this mythical
wonder...

the Mayan city, 
that stands 
on a rocky 
promontory 
overlooking 
the Caribbean 
sea -

When you're
here 
in this 
ancient city,

you feel
the spirit's 
of 
the 
Maya people,

Who 
discovered
this sacred
place...

the
sea route
that linked
Mexico
to 
Central America -

During
the time
of the 
Maya people,
the city
was
called
Zama
which means
Dawn -

At the
turn
of
the
twentieth
century
with
the arrival
of
the Spanish
Conquistadors,
the city's
name changed
to
Tulum,

In Maya
language 
Tulum
means
Wall -

It's inhabitants 
(around ten thousand)
Mayan's,
built a wall
that 
surrounds 
the city,
to protect 
there most 
precious buildings;
called
the ruins 
of 
Tulum -
also 
Known as
the 
Maya ruins -

The most 
imposing building
of all 
in 
Tulum, 
is El Castillo,
(The Castle).

  From 
just outside
of 
Tulum,  
you can see 
the ruins 
of 
El Castillo, 
that rest 
on
the highest point 
in the city -

Walking around, 
you will see
other Maya ruins 
such as,
Templo del Dios del Viento,
(Wind's God Temple).

Casa del Cenote,
 or 
(The House
of the Well), 
just to name a few -

There are many 
ruins in 
Tulum,
about sixty
structure's -

So much 
beauty 
and 
history 
awaits you 
here -

This oasis 
on the 
southeastern border 
of Mexico, 
in the state of 
Quintana Roo, 
along Mexico's
Caribbean coastline 
on the Riviera,

Is home 
to the world's 
most beautiful
pristine
white sandy
beaches,......
it's
spell bounding -

If you're blessed
to come here
to this
last known 
stronghold 
of the 
Maya people,

you will stand
in the
presence
of their
life's
history -

Conversely, 
when you
listen
closely...

ancient 
voices 
can be heard
whispering
through the wind
of the Maya Ruins, 

it will 
leave you 
speechless -

Tulum, 
in the setting sun, 
over the
Caribbean sea, 
is like 
no
other place
on
earth -
