Totem Psychosis

Cresendo of wind pumping through my veins
Singular pulse of light now black
Inhale, now lift thine eyes to feel
Spirit stirring, shifting within.

Glistening sweat sweeps off the brow
Enveloping ring of fire
Pulse drumming, heart dancing, electrify
Ancient riddle of the crow.

Destined kin or delusional whim
Thoughts muddle as we soar the heights
Falling, plunging, you mock my doubt
Cacophony of crude laughter spirals.

Wisdom of whimsy, delight of the gods
Awaken, child atop the cool green moss
Fleeting glimpses, gentle tug of my hair.
Alas, black feather lead me home.
