To the High Seas!
To the high seas, and sweet island breeze.
Sails raised, and the course plot,
to adventure, with this motley lot.
Pirates, drunkards, all kinds of sleaze.
We're out for fortune and glory,
gold, silver, spices and rum!
We sing our songs, work while we hum.
Listen to the rest of our story.
From the Royal Navy we hide
and prey upon merchants unaware.
We fight, and drink, plunder without care.
And brag of the women who we left aside.
Tales of woe, and ghosts be told
Mermaids of beauty, and monsters a plenty.
Your share is ten, but mine is twenty!
Climb the crow's nest, stand tall and bold.
For we are pirates of the mighty sea.
And should we be caught,
It shall be all for naught,
‘tis the hangman's noose for me!
