Title of Poem ‎II A FRIEND’S LETTER II By Satya Pattnaik.

‎II A FRIEND'S LETTER II    By Satya Pattnaik[Kalahandi]

Solitary tide is receding away
Leaving me alone
To count the hours of friendless ruins
Stars and moon are whispering
In silence and quizzing with blue
Ignoring me altogether

I am remembering you
With all beats and rhythm
In my mind
Keeping away the rocks and roots
Clinging to the thoughts of you
And catching the thoughts for you

But amazingly today I discovered
A layer of distrust in you
That has over grown with weeds
And my thoughts hanged in it

I had not demanded you
Your hand to walk
And even not demanded your promises
To share your pink sky and petal glow lights

I knew you are in a huge mansion of
Closed golden gate
An ornament of time
A saddest poetry but sublime

Not to lose my friends
And not to leave the group
I smelt you from distance
Bent upon you like a hovering cloud
Full of heart and copious rain drops
Hardly have we known each other
Only words has tagged our feathers
But with a sweet note the trip has begun,
Friendship is
Neither a multi pages story
Nor a daily life grocery nor a camp fire
We are at our approach to win the heart
In the portrait of time
Stranger unknown
Our trust only to sign
Not with half dead heart
But with full bloomed shine
Only to earn our grace and  to remain fine.
