Time Flies

I heard a thud and clanging against the wall,
Startled awake from the sound of it all.
I ran down the hall to see what's the matter,
To raucous sounds of tremendous laughter.

My brother delighted with a smile upon his face,
Reclining in bed with tiny cogs all over the place.
The clock was missing from aside his bed,
The old familiar ticking was silently dead.

Bells, bobs, and case strewn over the floor,
A dent in the wall and scratches on the door.
I asked what had happened and looked in his eye,
He exclaimed that he wanted to watch time fly.
