Time Before Winter

Leaves falling to the ground,
faded colors, shaded brown.
Evergreens and skies of gray,
lets us know of winters stay.
The crisp cool air, of this seasons chill,
makes the dead of winter seem long until.
The hailing rain or falling snow.
I can't decide if it's friend or foe.
So as I'm shielded, by a pane of glass,
I know this winter is soon to pass.
For the time will come, as it always does,
where things will be the same, as it ever was.
With a radiant sun, and skies of blue,
this time will pass, for things of new.
That grow and bloom, with colors bright,
like pleasing flowers, with scents delight.
Now holiday season is growing close,
and being together is what I like most.
So enjoy this time, it seems to fly.
It goes by fast, like a blink of an eye.
Now is the time to take it slow,
and enjoy your days before they go.
