Time

Time

They say time heals everything.
They say it mends all wounds.
I wish I could concur with this,
but it is just not true.

If you fall and scrape your ankle
or you rub against your car,
sure the pain soon fades away,
but time can't heal a scar.

And if time heals everything
why is my heart still cracked,
from the loss of those I loved so dear?
Why can't time heal that?

They say time heals everything.
They say is sets you free.
I wish I could concur with this,
but time has not helped me.
