The Truth

I may not be the prettiest

But I am still pretty

I may not be the smartest

But I am still smart

I may not be perfect

But to some I am perfect

I may not be average

But you aren't either

I may not be extraordinary

But I am original

I may not be listening at times

But I am still listening

I may not always be here

But I am

I may not know all the right people

But I know people

So don't start pointing out my flaws

Because you have as many as I do

I may not be the most talented

But I do have a great talent

I might push people away

But I do it so I don't get hurt

I may not be seen always

But I am still noticed

I may not be heard always

But sometimes I am heard

I may not be the nicest

But I am nice

I may not catch your eyes

But I sometimes do

I may not be anyone

But I am someone

I may not be yours

But I am mine

I may not be your friend

But your ally

Stop pulling me down

Because it hurts

I don't show it, but it does

I am done with you treating me like this

I am taking over my life again,

So move!
