The three letters

THE THREE LETTERS

1, YESTERDAY..........(Faith)

And so I'll think of you
all day long
and night time too

and I'll scan the news
how war has gone
seeking clues

and the children want to know
how is dad
and where did you go

2, TO-DAY ..........(Hope)

Please take care
I hear fighting's bad
over there

I worry day and night
that you're safe
you'll be alright

the children say
it's one year to-day
since you went away

3, TOMORROW..........(REALITY)

I pray, it's true
someday soon
we''ll hear from you

the children are crying too
they won't admit
but I know they do

the minister has said
I can't accept
you may be dead
