the spark

inside everyone there is a spark
a light that leads them through the dark
it drives guides and inspires them
each one different for her or him
from ancient greece to the usa
it connects in every way
it raised monuments wrote epics and painted masterpieces
it has dimmed many times yet never ceases
many of us hear its call
from the fire that burns within us all
