The Real Tale Doesn't Have Faeries

This is a tale to twist your senses,
Gut wrenching sickness insisted.
Persuasive licks of honey kept you hesitant,
But now that honey tastes empty and listless.
Stop finding the truth so offensive,
Little one, you're grown enough now to listen.
This is a tale to relieve your senses,
Your love is an unrealistic, comical vision.
Those dreams are dreams alone for mind,
Your heart is only a heartbeat to stay alive.
She only smells so sweet from the outside,
All that beauty you swear to breathe derives from a lie.
Who in their right mind believes in butterflies,
Warm fuzzy kisses that tingle deep inside.
Just like a twitch or hot flashes chance in time,
The reality of bodily reactions holds true to spine.
Your will of adoration to meet with her eyes,
The skip of heartbeat the moment she sees why.
You're stuck.
