The Past Can Never Change

Everything use to be so simple
And easy then...

We relinquished ourselves to many higher powers
Hoping for a chance to break out of our lives
Running to a new version of sound
and without any doubt.
Physically we excelled
but mentally we all failed
to something that could never be.

To the higher powers whom observed
and convened.
Giving us our wildest fantasies
It was beautiful
It was blight
But they could never dim our light.
Can we go back to the past
A world that cannot change

We'll fail and fight
with the smell of such sweet honeysuckle
fueling our might
And strengthen our bones
with fleshy twigs and molten stones.
I'll take your wasted hand into my heart
with no intention to depart
It's a manner of wafting through the shadows
of our broken memories.
And enter the sway of the trees
at last
Jump on this cardboard shaped time machine
and crumble at the unrational majesty.

It'll never be this simple again
The pink ribbon is failing
to understand
the context of the situation.

It's time to fly
and bat our wings
To something that cannot change.

My dream is to have a following and to benefit my readers with my poetry. If you visit this page please tell me what you think about "Releasing My Ghost" and give me a link of one of yours to read/critique.
