The Morning Presence

Light pierces the sky
Darkness no longer endures
The sun’s warm rays gently kiss my face
As the cool air sensations run down my spine

Light bounces off the clouds
A heavenly sight of colors
What a view
Its majestic pattern amazes me

The dense fog slowly clears
Dew-wet and awakening
Birds and their glorious sounds
Urge me to start the day

The peace
The cool morning breeze
Contrasting with my warmth
But oh, the sweet morning smell

The day becomes hot
The sun takes pride
Oh how I look forward to the night
So I may experience this dawn once more
