The Missing piece

Scattered, lost without a whole
Missing what is a piece of my soul.
Confused about what my life will bring
Without what I seek, I subsist in shame.
What's missing is lost, gone with no sound
Unable to function; knowing it cannot be found.
This game of searching for this piece of the puzzle
knowing with her I can no longer nuzzle.
Finding a piece, which is no longer there,
Has taking its weight beyond compare.
Perhaps soon I will find this piece that I seek
And maybe then my puzzle will be complete.
