The Hunt

Your eyes
Penetrate mine and
Express hunger for a returning glance.

The guitar sings of love,
Your eyes, of lust.
You move in and
Your cadence is mimicked by the music's rhythm.

The Depth of your eyes
Leaves my face never alone-
Intense, intent.

You descend and
I am helpless; brought to my knees
By your eyes.

A curl of sun-kissed hair falls to my cheek-
It breaks our stare.

You are at my side.

A rough hand gently returns
All
To its rightful place.

I turn to leave,
Coy.

I'm pulled into a dance.
Taken by the music, your eyes.

I dance.
I dance.
I dance.
I dance, then

Silence.

And
Our faces nearly touch.
My heart sputters, spasms; begs for release.
A firmer hold you take for only a moment,
Then your prey is free.

You turn to leave;
Your role is passed to me.
