The Driver

I'm not driving slow,
I'm the pace car, I wrote.
The motorist unimpressed,
Continued to gloat.

His middle digit in glory
Rose above his shoulder, you see;
His reading my license plate frame
Did nothing to calm him, I agree.

The driver, his hot rod,
But a long way distant,
Any retribution by me
Is easily resistant.
