Teachers Pet Poet

She requested a Haiku, handed her a Hanky,
frowned and politely asked for a Senryu
told her Buckingham House ;  you'll see a sentry.
Then a Tanka,
yeah I said, my Dad drives one ; not wanting to hanker.
She became anxious,
asked for an epistle, so I started to whistle.
Then said write me a ballad,
no clue what she was on about,
friend at the desk behind me, informed ; ballet was not on
until next week. I informed the Miss,
thought to myself that deserved a kiss.
Was sent to the headmaster and got three cuts of the cane,
while departing implied that Miss was insane,
should have known he'd support her,
                                              went back for another two.
Entering my classroom ; complained my hands had gone blue.
Returned to my desk and was ordered to give her
an Iambic-pentameter, was getting ready to turn around,
ask my mate ; headmaster walked passed our door
                                                                     and I was sent out.
Returned with my hands in my pocket,
given a warning, she was onto me like a rocket ; from you
I want  a composition tomorrow,
opened my big mouth ; much to my sorrow.
I said a composition of what ?
copper and tin will give you brass.
Somehow I knew I'd be on my  ar's.
Last words I uttered to her that day,
now I've been told to stay away.
Been suspended ; still
it gives me a chance to study up on poetry terms
but I'm going fishing now and all I need
is what Miss said I was ; a can of worms.
