Taking Its Time

I lost my bro at Christmastime this past year,
Only to grieve more for my daughter Joelle, my dear,
Both were lost about the same time,
Love them both dearly,
Clearly, my heart aches for them so,
Grief tears deep in your soul and finds who you are,
That's when the Holy Spirit steps in,
Wraps around your heart and takes the spear,
Hold on tight, and squeeze all you can
Troubled thoughts wisk away, sweet Spirit incline
Belief in the Father, grief takes it time,
Sadness, anger roll around,
Take these in stride,
Positive on the other side
Will be the only way when you work your grief within,
Power to your soul,
Love thyself,
Connecticut we grieve,
We love you,
God be with you.

Farmer Jackie

I love writing poetry. I won an award for writing poetry in 2002. My poetry comes mainly from the loss of my daughter, Joelle Rosebush, who set precedence in 1988 in Michigan. I am writing a book on Joelle and grieving entitled, Joelle's Cry For Justice. Look for it soon. more…
