Sun Setting on Me

I thought I saw a silver lining
But I guess I was wrong
I thought I saw a moment of morning glory
But again I was led astray
I felt I heard your heartbeat
Again my ears were misled
I felt the trembling in your words
Then my soul felt dead
My heart knew no boundaries
When I fell in love with you
But your deception was disguised
And there was nothing to do
I felt foolish as I lost my pride
My love for you diminished
When you walked outside
Never turning back
You never looked at me
So I turned and saw the last light of day
As the Sun slowly set its last rays on me.
