Spending Time

The winter snow leaves us yearning
For some exotic location.
Someplace warm and sundrenched,
Where we can tip back martinis
And smear coconut sunscreen
On our parched and dried out skin.
We rummage through the brochures
For super deals on glamorous trips,
That we know we can’t afford.
This browsing consoles us some
And the winter seems less cold,
As you and an I spent quality time
Daydreaming for warmth.
