Sources of Knowledge

Roots sprout from within my heart,
As my knowledge grows and life barely starts.

Branches grab hold of my mind and soul,
Fore my learning fills the abyss of ignorance's hole.

Leaves and blossoms adorn my hair,
As comfort sets in for my pride to wear.

The fruitful apple, ripe and unknown,
Heightens my desire of exploring alone

Twigs and needles surround my feet,
As I shed my years and plow my wheat.

The trunk supplies my impending thrist,
And my blood and bone soak the fountain, immersed.

An owl perches upon my head:
My constant companion, ancient wisdom not dead.

These sources of wisdom
Are of my divine.
They are human's gift
And nature's design.
