Son Lend Me Your Ears

Being your mother, only want what's best for you
remember a day I got mad for your wrongdoings-
I just want you to refrain from doing them again
that is why I ask you to lend me your ears.

I knew how it feels to be scolded all the time
have I told you son, I was then at your stage-
when at the height of my impulsive thinking...
never did I listen to anyone even my peers.

From this, have almost messed up my entire life
not until you came; I decided to change for good
what has been done I believe can not be undone
so son, promise mama's heart fill no scares.

I need you to learn from my own mistakes...
perhaps you're tired hearing me each morning
of course we're no identical, fates or struggles
yet son, still need to lend me your ears.
