Something Beautiful

Lying in a bed of roses and push the world away,
With no hope for change tomorrow, nor will to complete the day.
When faith and hope and all is gone; and there's no need or will to carry on.
So you lie in roses and wait for something strong; To carry you through another day, you can't last that long.
[ Something beautiful is lying there, but it's buried deep within,
Trying to grab a hold of it, so you can start this day again.]
You close your eyes to let go, and feel you're floating high,
A warm and loving feeling so you open up your eyes.
Lost is everything you thought, and gone is human reason,
Your pride and brilliance is put aside, this is not their season.
A soothing feeling consuming you; and there's nothing now that you can do.
Just lay down there and don't be scared, and let it come inside,
There's no need for fear right here, and no you haven't died.
[ Something beautiful is lying there, but it's buried deep within,
and now you're learning to take hold, to start this life again.]
You are being strengthened, given substance to keep on living,
and let this illustrate; the key to life is a need for giving.
It's not about the receipt of goods, just what's bestowed inside,
Enough there to help another, the reason you have not died.
There was something left within you, that would not depart,
All you felt you thought was gone, was a momentary lapse of heart.
And now you know to carry on what it is you must share,
The beauty that lies within, is of spirit and it's everywhere.
[ Something beautiful is lying there, but it's buried deep within,
and now you know what you have to do, to start this life again.]
