So Lives An Ibid

No anger from your words
I only care about your happiness
how dare me not stand aside
you will be here in my dreams
since you left, thinking is secondary
lying around in the dark
knowing it will not be sought
so many ends I left untied
this place is quiet as a cemetary
without the sound of our hearts beating
I hear time hanging on the wall
time is all I hold
you hold someone new, someone different
there is a cool breeze
on my back porch tonight
still looking to your memory
looking toward a starless sky
if you were here
there would be a fireworks display
artificial, taunting the soul
