Point A To Point B

The men are overly aware of their walk
so they walk with pocketed hands
the women are opinionated
they like to talk loud
and laugh out even louder
could we have a moment of silence?
some time to think strategically
to maneuver around the mainstream
to walk around unnoticed
with pocketed hands
eyes focused on the ground
the foundation that leads the way
through seldom used doors
with every step planned ahead
every direction mapped
at a moment's notice
covering pavement and concrete
while peripheral vision observes activity
until it all fades away
until the silence breaks
