Saved From Night

Alone in the darkness
No lights to be found
Alone by myself
Not a soul around
I hide in the doorway
Undecided where to go
On the side with light and life
Or the side of darkness, all alone?
Chosen to stay on the side I liked best
Away from serenity
Away from the rest
Then I noticed, I was losing myself
Do i go for help?
Or become abandoned on a shelf?
Seeking help, I was brought to the light
My life is safe and I'm never alone
Safe from myself during darkness of night.
With the help of others and their remedy
I am now safe to be alone in my own little serenity.
