Sail Away V

Listening to the wind and waves
crash upon the shore,
he does not notice the rain,
only the spirit of her memory
and the agony of her pain.

Now that she is gone
he feels empty and alone.
His tortured nights
are growing long and cold.
His heart is breaking,
as the memories begin to unfold.
His whole life is shaking,
everywhere he turns.
What else can he do,
when his heart still burns?

Adrift upon the water,
landing upon the shore,
he fails to see the love
of a simple yellow rose!
