Dreams Stolen

Have you ever been on top of the world
and have some one come along and
pull the rug out beneath your feet!
Have you ever found the perfect woman
that you knew you were going to marry!
And then to meet her friends...
and have them steal your dreams away!
Have you been about to make a
huge success with your songs
and scripts in verse form...
Only to have them stolen
by people you called friends...
who are only jealous of what
you are about to do for yourself.
And then drug you a little every
day so that they can steal
your dreams away!
Now they pop up now and then
only to say Hi... and shove
it into my face!
