One who gets you.

And my mind is not tamed,
Not to say I'm insane,
But not completely rational.
You know, you're always called "weird",
So you believe it, you live it,
Then you try to get a grip, but it grabs you and drags you through mountains of clashing normality.
But then you finally find one who gets you,
Who appreciates your dark and light.
And you frolic and play, dance your cares away, in your imaginary house by the sea.
But then, the sea swallows your house.
The waves just get too close and fierce.
And all you have is each other.
And that's scary and bizarre and weird.
But weird is what you believe in, and live,
So you attempt to carry on,
But the world sees you're naked and
The world has no pity,
And the world will swallow you too.

I have always loved writing, all types, but especially in partnership with my music. I sing and write melodies for the words which I create. I am passionate about this. Hopefully, someday it will all pay off. Until then, I will enjoy this for what it is. more…
