On Deaf Ears

Wasted prayers dissipate in the nothingness beyond. Feebly I grasp for intangible truths; Live, love, lust all to die when meaning is lost to the naked eye. Rays of hope pierce my empty soul exposing the macabre......... Cleansing the fetid filth that engulfs my emaciated heart. Could this be the change I seek? NO! Blinded by self realization I shy away from the light that is my salvation. Surfacing are my darkest secrets so i supress the desire to purge, such an incessant nagging urge. All the while my inner demons destroy whats left of this empty shell, dragging my limp body toward the all consuming lake of fire. Self imposed satire is all that satisfies, for there is no center when chaos comsumes. With nothing left but shattered remains I bring forth my all, not enough but still I try. Weary and desperate I fall to my knees. Broken and bare I release a painfully crackled cry to the vast expanse looming above. No reply. Once again it falls upon deaf ears.
