On A Roll Again

Five books down and I am shocked,
So tell me, what can be said?
I am speechless and taken aback,
But I will not let it go to my head.
Fifty-three hundred and thirty seven poems,
Yes, I am truly amazed at the words.
Many had tried to stop me in my tracks,
There was Kelli, Olivia, even Dianne,
But none could bring a stop to my pen.
Today I am on a roll again, lost in time,
The words keep flowing with the rhyme.
Rhythm is not lost in the mix of each line,
Even for one that has never heard.
So today I will write and I will write,
And I will write for those that despise,
All that a man has to say in his life!
I did not come at you with hate in my eyes,
Nor did I treat you with such disdain.
When the day comes to close this book,
I will not stop to take a second look.
For I will leave this place with such haste,
You will know I took not time to waste.
My words will be list to time,
Lost in the rhythms and the rhymes.
As for me I will be no where to be found,
On the wings of your hate,
There you can hear in the wind the sound,
On a roll again and never late!
